You invite team members and set the role for each team member. You (not us) define the role and the access rights of each role based on your specific business needs. Roles can be updated dynamically whenever your needs change. Here are some examples of roles: “lawyer,” “paralegal,” “contract worker,” “web designer,” “guest.”

When you have an Office with issueTRAIL, each Office can have multiple Teams, and each Team can have multiple Projects. Each Project has its own set of members. Use our multi-team, multi-project structure to organize your virtual teams as you need. Law firms and professional service companies can set up each client as its own Team, with each client matter as its own Project. Or set up each internal matter (e.g., HR, Accounting) as its own Team, each with multiple Projects.

Project Members can collaborate by posting on an issue within each Project, updating an issue, attaching documents and data to issues, attaching notes to an issue, send alerts, request approval (as permitted within their roles). issueTRAIL automatically tracks the date, time and identity of the person uploading the attachments.

| Manage Audits And Reports |
All issue communications, notes and attachments are preserved for tracking purpose by date and users. Reports can be generated based on selection criteria as scheduled or on demand.

| Data And Document Archival |
As permitted within their assigned roles, users can load, download, move and copy documents into the Document Archive Center, where data and documents are automatically sorted by Team, Project, and optionally within folders created by the users.
